Glitch Edit

Whilst editing we notice that the glitch needed a lot of improvement. The problem was that the glitch between the party and Lucy walking alone was too fast. We decided to slow it down so that we could emphasise Lucy being alone to show the contrast and her state of mind at that particular moment in time.

When we slowed it down we came across another problem, we didn't know whether we should have a whispering sound to express Lucy state of mind or silence. Personally  Me, Emma and Lucy preferred the whispering sound at first , but after we got feedback we realised that no whispering was more effective in the context of the whole opening sequence. We also uploaded both of the clips to Youtube and created a poll and asked 25 people which one they preferred.

Here are the two clips and the results of the poll:

No whispering has a much bigger impact because the silence is a huge contrast to the rest of the opening sequence. We are able to elaborate this, as the silence reflects Lucy's state of mind. It also makes the audience feel uncomfortable because there is no dialogue still so they are still unaware of what has happened or what is going to happen.

We also have feedback from Isobel and she reiterates what has just been said and expresses her feelings on the glitch and also an overall opinion on the whole opening sequence.
